Crisp Air. Cider. Tall Boots.

Fall. Mmm. I just love it.

This time of year holds so many reasons why it is dear to me. Not only does the air get a bit chilly, and the leaves change, it's the opening of a new year in fashion. The September issues come out, along with a rich, royal color palette and enough textures to make your senses go crazy. This fall's camel, rust, khaki & wine tones are to die for (& go together perfectly) Menswear, once again has made itself visible ( I don't think I'll ever get sick of tweed and herringbone) The one thing that caught my eye this year, however, is the fact that long is in. FINALLY.

A long, flow-y, lean silhouette has so much class.
Long skirts. Trench coats. Lace. Pant suits. = gorgeous.

Hi, my name is Bob.

Adopting a dog can be harder than it seems. Being that an animal has been through a lot already, the new family has to go through a long application process. Kevin and I applied for three dogs: Bubba, Tosco, & Bob. We never heard anything back, and after trying to contact them, we decided it wasnt meant to be.
About two weeks ago, I received an e-mail saying that Bob had been adopted and given back because they "weren't ready for a second dog" (how nice huh?)
The woman from the rescue, Jayne, called me and we chatted about Bob and his situation. That evening, Kevin and I drove down to Northfield, MN to meet him. I couldnt believe I had butterflies: I was worried he wouldn't like me.
We pulled into the parking lot and there he was, in all his forgotten and abandoned glory.

I was in love.

I got out of the car and yelled "bob!" he jumped off Jayne's tailgate and charged towards me. I crouched down and he overwhelmed me with lots of kisses :)

We took him home and now has spent two weeks with us today. He's such a sweetheart, why anyone would want to give him up just baffles me.

(as you can see he loves to be lazy)
